RiverCrown appoints Charles Arcer to head up debt team
Rivercrown has appointed Charles Archer to lead its Debt Investment Management team, with responsibility for originating, underwriting, execution and loan asset management of real estate debt opportunities in the UK and Europe.
Charles, who joins as a Director, will oversee the European Credit Opportunities Vehicle - Rivercrown’s €250m annual allocation mandate with a Sovereign Wealth Fund alongside Jacob Lyons. The mandate targets senior, mezzanine, and whole loans from €10m to €100m. Borrowers range from global private equity funds through to institutions, property companies and high-net worth individuals.
Charles will also drive new business growth and will lead the other primary real estate debt strategies including high yield as well as development financing and targeted debt investments into a range of niche sectors.
Charles joins from Legal & General where he worked in the Real Estate Debt team. Prior to this he was at AIG, where he was involved in originating, structuring and underwriting loans and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) in the UK and Europe, as well as working on non-performing loan (NPL) funding and development finance.
Rivercrown has also appointed Evan Goldszak as Associate Director in its debt team. His responsibilities will include debt origination, underwriting and advisory. Evan joins from Quadrant Real Estate Advisors, a US based real estate debt investment management business.
